Boards:
Various
members of the community have donated their time and services to assist
on the following committees:
Committees-
1.
Entrance/Exit - Criteria/Review
a.
This group will work on creating an application policy, lease and terms
of agreement for the Center. The committee will review all applications
to make sure the prospective tenant is a fit for the incubator. In addition,
they will also be responsible for creating a graduation policy and exit
strategy.
2.
Business Plan Review
a.
This group will review the business plans and offer feedback and suggestions
to all prospective tenants. In addition, the committee will conduct biannual
reviews of the plans to make sure tenants are on target.
3.
Shared Services/Programs/Events
a.
This committee's task is to make clear the difference between cheap office
space and an incubator. The group will help identify key shared services
- both paid and free - for tenants to use. In addition, they will help
plan monthly events, such as HR, marketing, patent applications, etc,
as well as networking mixers and other events. The relationship of the
universities/colleges/trade schools to the incubator will also play an
important role in this committee.
4.Financial/Legal
- Review/Assistance
a.
Financial and legal statements are important not only for the tenant but
the center as well. This area will focus on the review and assistance
of the financing of each tenant on a biannual schedule as well as the
incubator itself. The group will help identify and secure sources of capital
for tenants and will offer assistance pertaining to the legal setup of
each tenant's business.
5.
PR/Marketing/Fundraising/Sponsorship
a.
This group will help market the facility to the community. Tasks include
feedback and guidance on marketing initiatives as well as generating new
ideas to locate prospective tenants. Also included in this committee will
be a focus on fund raising initiatives and sponsorships which will help
pay for the marketing/advertising and programs.
